From the Superintendent
Madison Local School District Community,
It is with great excitement and enthusiasm that I begin my 5th year as superintendent of the Madison Local School District after serving the district for the first 29 years of my educational career as a teacher, coach, and administrator.
We are very excited for the 2024-25 school year as we celebrate 100 years of education at Madison Local Schools as well as 50 years of Career-Technical education at Madison. As we recognize these milestones in the history of Madison, it continues to be our mission to challenge each and every student academically while providing the necessary supports to assist them in achieving their goals. One of our highest priorities is to provide a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment where students have every opportunity to be successful. We hope to provide all students with high-quality educational and extracurricular experiences so that they have the opportunity to be successful in the career pathway of their choice following high school.
Madison Local Schools is proud of the many opportunities we provide for our children and for our community. In addition to the traditional K-12 experience, we also house an early childhood program at the Madison Early Childhood Learning Center, a preschool program at Madison South Elementary, career-technical education within our high school, and adult education through our Madison Adult Career Center at the high school. These programs afford our students and our community many opportunities that most districts do not offer.
It is our sincere desire to help our students grow academically, socially, and emotionally each year and to assist our students in developing a curiosity and passion for learning. We believe that developing our students begins with building positive relationships and partnerships with our students, their families, and the community. Our administrators, teachers, and staff are very caring and dedicated to the success of our students. Instructionally, the district is diligent in providing standards-based instruction through engaging teaching strategies and educational resources.
I am extremely proud of the way our staff, students, their families, and the community have continued to work together over the past four years to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of Madison students, and I look forward to a great 2024-2025 school year and celebration of 100 Years of Madison--GO RAMS!
In Ram Pride,
Rob Peterson, Superintendent
Madison Local School District
